Srushti began preparing herself for the UPSC examination in her 3rd year as an engineering student. During her graduation, she questioned whether she was able to be satisfied working in an engineering position. In the following years, she realized that her passion was in civil service and decided to pursue the field. The parents of her encouraged her to focus on civils, and find a job serving the public. She did not lose motivation, and remained focused solely at her dream to become an IAS. In order to be a candidate for UPSC, you have to put in more work. As she studied in engineering and other classes, she also used to study for different subjects of UPSC. This exam preparation was done every day. She spent only one month preparing for the exam and was away from the internet and social daily life. She believes that focus and concentration are the key for success in the exam to be a government official. Her efforts were arduous to attain her goal to pass the test on her the first attempt. Her daily routine included reading papers to stay current with the most recent news. Online, she collected numerous study resources and watched Rajya Sabha TV.
