Samantha Mohr
Mohr is who was a UGA student, who recommended her to compete in into Miss Columbus 1985 pageant, was the winner. Her win allowed her to enter to compete in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Mohr won the competition on June 22nd in 1985. Mohr took home more than $3500 worth of scholarships, as well as prizes during the state pageant. In her role as Miss Georgia included public appearances at locations throughout Georgia. Mohr was a representative of Georgia at Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City (New Jersey) on September 15, 1985. Mohr predicted it was likely that Susan Akin would win Miss America using computer models. His chances of winning were 22:1. Mohr was not on the list of the top 10 contenders for the title of Miss America. Mohr's tenure as Miss Georgia lasted until she succeeded her successor Marlesa Ball, as Miss Georgia 1986 on June 28 in 1986.
